BECK - ORPHANS LYRICS
I like his allusion to God in this song. "If I wake up and see my maker coming with all of his crimson and his iron desire."
I don't know Beck at all. But I can see a bridge for the Gospel here. God will one day bring justice to this world where there is often injustice.
Numerous scriptures point this out. Some have taken these verses and created a liberation theology. I see God saying that He will right every wrong. He will bring retribution on those who unjustly exploit, take advantage of, and unduly oppress others (Psalm 9:9; 10:16-18; 43:1-5).
I trust in God to take care of injustice and to care take justice when He comes back to earth. "Indeed, I will never forget any of their deeds (Amos 8:7b)." Read the whole passage in context here.
