I heard John Tesh share on his radio program, Intelligence for your Life, a Jack London quote. I googled the quote and came across a wiki which claims that the quote is not a direct Jack London quote but could have been attributed to him. Thus I can say that this quote can be attributed to Jack London;
I would rather be ashes than dust!
I would rather that my spark should burn out in a brilliant blaze than it should be stifled by dry-rot.
I would rather be a superb meteor, every atom of me in magnificent glow, than a sleepy and permanent planet.
The function of man is to live, not to exist.
I shall not waste my days trying to prolong them.
I shall use my time.
Whether attributed to Jack London or not, I like the quote. I'd rather live my life to the fullest like Jesus said, "I came to give life, and to give if more abundantly." I want to live life, and to live it more abundantly. I want to burn bright for God and shine for Him each day. I wonder if you see yourself as a meteor or as a planet.
