Pray for Central African Republic

Please pray for the Central African Republic. Rebels in the East have attacked Ndele & Bria, in East Central CAR. The BBC reports that Chadian government troops have been sent to repel the attack. As allies, the Chadian troops and CAR troops will force the rebels out. Hundreds flee as tensions rise in the CAR.

Missionaries in the CAR are also on alert. Heidi Sisson, with Encompass World Partners, has posted news about the potential need to evacuate if the situation in the country deteriorates. Please pray for the safety of missionaries who are in harms way and who continue to serve in spite of growing tensions in the region. Keep the Flanigans in your prayers too (Encompass World Partners). ICDI is moving equipment away from the capital city of Bangui in case things get worse.

Please pray also for the Central Africans who will remain in country as rebels advance. May God give them protection, provide them with wisdom as they care for family, friends, and their communities, and bless them with courage to discern how to take care of each other.
