20,000 pounds of food sent to help with the famine in the Central African Republic

At the end of the year, Grace Church gave to the Greatest Gift Christmas Offering to help advance our missions of developing everyone into fully devoted followers of Christ.  Grace Church exceeded the goal and added a few projects to help reach more people.

One of the projects Grace Church helped was with the African Relief Project. Grace Church gave $10,000 to help with the relief effort to provide food for the displaced in the Central African Republic. You can sign up for email updates

As Barb Wooler shared on March 13, "Each week brings stories of atrocities in the C.A.R. Yet people are determined to get back to living, a statement that says more about the spirit and resolve of the Central African people than of a greatly improved situation." Sign up for email updates.

Ten thousand dollars equals 200 sacks of food.  One sack of food weighs 100 pounds. Thus, Grace Church provided 20,000 lbs of food to the relief effort.

Food provided at Bata Bible Institute
You can give to help with the relief effort. As of March 13, 630,000 lbs of food has been purchased.  370,000 lbs of food remains to reach 1 million pounds of food relief. Every $50 purchases one sack of food.  Please give now to provide food for the displaced and the hungry in the Central African Republic.
