I get to preach on Sunday July 27!

Unlikely heroes: I can't help but not think of Guitar Hero. I play guitar. But as I observed how the game works, you don't learn how to play the guitar; you learn how to push the correct button at the appropriate time.

In a similar manner, I believe the heroes of the Bible are real people who learned how to follow God better everyday; they are role models. I am so glad that they aren't unrealistic characters who merely push buttons for the correct response or answer at any given time--they are real heroes of faith, each one a real faith hero.

Pastor Nick and I get to preach this Sunday morning I get to talk at the 9:45 service. We will talk about how to follow God consistently. We will look at the life of Daniel in the Old Testament as an unlikely hero to emulate. If you want to know what difference it makes to have a relationship with God, then you need to hear what we got to say. In fact, let your friends know about it too. Each Sunday morning message is available to listen to on the church's website. So if you're unable to come hear it live, then you can download it and listen to it at your leisure or on a trip away from home.
