I remember where I was when it all happened seven years ago...
I was driving to work, to Northwest Chapel in Dublin, Ohio. I was singing praise songs as I drove to the church.
I entered the church building at 9am. Just in time to hear the reaction of my colleagues as they watched the t.v. reports of the second plane crashing into the WTC.
I watched all morning pondering how terrorists could attack and kill people. I wondered how God would allow such atrocities.
Then I began praying for the victims who survived and who need help. I prayed for the emergency responders. I prayed for our president. I prayed for a united and clear response.

I felt the emotions of fear, anger, and sadness. I just entered the church hallway in good spirits and happy, upbeat and ready to go for the day. Yet how my emotions changed.
I thank God for helping me live through this. I remember it. I still know that God is overseeing it all. He is Sovereign. He is the absolute and sole ruler of this universe. Read I Chronicles 29:11-12 to read the Bible's claim to God's Sovereignty.
You can trust God for 9/11-like catastrophes in your life. You can know that God is still in control. You may not believe it always, but you can have faith in God. You can trust in God. Believe!
