Native American comics - Boing Boing
I was searching my newsreader and discovered a Navajo making an impact in the world. Jolene Nenibah Yazzie is developing indigenous comic art that seeks to reclaim narrative art of the past and move its form into the next generation. Boing Boing has a couple sample graphics and offers two great links: one to the Smithsonian article, and the other to Jolene's interview. Check it out!
It pleases me to see Navajos moving ahead in this society. Way to go, Jolene. Keep it up.
