National Day of Prayer

I rose early to help my sons with their paper route. I commissioned them to complete their duty. Then I checked on them as I drove to our church to join others in praying for our country, our churches, and all who live in our United States of America.

Gathering with other citizens to pray is my choice. I have the right to assemble. I have the right to pray to God for our country. Even if President Obama mutes this day, I choose to pray. In fact, I can pray anytime, anywhere.

I thank the National Day of Prayer Task Force for seeking to mobilize people to voluntarily gather to pray for our country. May this event catalyze a daily habit of prayer for many people.
