First Day of Global Prayer Walk

Prayer is a vital discipline in a fully devoted follower of Christ.  I am ever learning how to pray more faithfully.

I am so glad that GBIM sponsored this 62 day prayer emphasis. I look forward to exploring how to pray more effectively for what God is doing all over the world through GBIM.

I want to help people learn how to pray with impact in the world.  I want my prayer life to improve.  I desire for God to do great things as I focus my prayer life on watching Him work in amazing ways. Check out my beginning video post for today.  You can also join our group on Facebook and invite others.

One of the first prayers I learned from the Bible is the Lord's prayer.  Much has been said about this prayer.  Yet I thank the Lord Jesus for sharing how to pray (Luke 11:1-4).  In fact, I memorized his prayer in Matthew 6:9-13

Reciting prayer is the start to prayer.  Learning how to pray starts from reciting prayers in Scripture. If you are new to prayer. Please consider memorizing Matthew 6:9-13.  Recite it as your prayer each day.  Then insert the daily prayer request as it is written on the page of the Global Ministries Prayer Guide or as it came to you via email after verse 10.

For example, "Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, On earth as it is in heaven.  Please help the members of the Global Leadership Team provide leadership with vision, passion, and integrity in every area of life and ministry. Give us this day our daily bread...etc."

Please post in the comments below other Scripture references in the Bible that can serve as starting points for learning how to pray.  I can't wait to see how many verse citations are helping you to pray more effectively.

Daron, thanks for leading the way on the Global Prayer Walk. I believe we are in for exciting days as we faithfully bring before the Lord the nations of the world and those who are serving them. Thanks!
