Pray for the Central African Republic as rebels advance

The situation in the Central African Republic has prompted evacuation of US missionaries from the CAR to Cameroon. Please pray for the missionaries as they caravan out of the country and for the nationals as they remain to try to be caretakers of what is left behind. Ask God to keep missionary and nationals safe. Thanks to ICDI for updated map on what has transpired this month.

A few links with news and updates:
  • Encompass World Partners: Evacuation started
  • ICDI (Integrated Community Development International): Equipment moved to Beberati. Best map to see where rebels are.
  • Project Hope & Charite: Barb Wooler provides updates on her Facebook page
  • VisionTrust: Care is ongoing
  • Fox News: US diplomats evacuate
  • Reuters: Rebels surround the capital
Barb Wooler, Executive Driector of Project Hope & Charite, shared the following prayer requests on her facebook page. I share them in full.

"Our best help to them now is PRAY.

Please PRAY that...
1) ... God deploys His angels to watch over our orphans and widows, keeping them out of harm's way. The population of the C.A.R. has been through this before and knows how to keep from being in the wrong place at the wrong time. With God's help we are confident that our children and friends and coworkers we love so dearly will all be fine at the other end of this.

2) ... all the good God intends to come to our orphans, Central African friends, and to this country through this time of testing will be fully realized.

In the meantime, we have systems on the ground that allow services to our orphans to continue unhindered and uninterrupted. THANK YOU for your partnership in prayer through these tenuous days. God is able. He alone is all-powerful and able to save.
"

May we PRAY at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and petition, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints (Ephesians 6:18). And as my sister in the Lord, Rosa Munoz, commented. May we pray Psalm 91 for our brothers and sisters in Christ in the Central African Republic.
