Making fully devoted followers in France with the Hobert's

Dave & Susie Hobert
HobertWooster Grace partners with "Hobie" & Susie.  Dave Hobert grew up in Dalton, Ohio. He came to give his life to Christ through the ministry of the Wooster Grace Brethren Church at the age of 11.  Susie grew up in California. As the daughter of daughter of Rev. and Mrs. Raymond Thompson, she accepted Christ at age 4 after a Good News Club with the help of her mother.

Dave and Susie met at Grace College when they were in choir together and traveled together on a gospel team. They were married in 1974. Susie was graduated in 1973 with a BA in Music Education. Dave received his BA in Bible and Sociology in 1974 and his M.Div. from Grace Seminary in 1980.

In 1976, the Hoberts became interested in France. Family, friends, and a mission group influenced their decision. In 1979, they took a "vision trip" to France, and this visit confirmed their desire for missionary service. They left for language school in August 1980 and have been serving the Lord in France since then. They are presently involved in church-planting in the city of Montceau-les-Mines, the development of a regional “point of light” in Paray-le Monial, youth ministries, leadership training and leadership of the Château (castle) of Saint Albain (you can view a 30 minute tour of the Chateau from Tom Julien on Vimeo).

This year, Dave & Susie are missionaries in residence at Grace College in Winona Lake, IN.  They get to interact with college students and connect with churches around the country.
